from our heritage, to your table.

1888 Heritage is our premier beef finishing program—a convergence of where we’ve come from, where we are today, and where we’re going.

It’s where we take the heritage and values that have shaped our family and put them into practice - raising beef with intention, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Our 5th-generation Amish family farm in Illinois, nestled in the heart of premier Amish farming country and established in 1888, is the heart and cornerstone of our finishing program. It is here that generations of our family’s heritage, values, and stewardship come together—giving 1888 Heritage its name and its purpose.

Cattle selected for our finishing program receive exceptional care and a thoughtfully curated diet designed specifically for their needs. They are fed non-GMO grain to support healthy, robust marbling, alongside carefully selected pasture, minerals, and nutrition. Every element of our finishing program is intentional, because we believe what is raised well ultimately provides well.

We’re proud to partner with Stutzman Feed Mill, an agricultural gem in Arthur, Illinois, and a Helmuth family -owned operation that has been serving farms both near and far with quality nutrition since the 1940’s. Their expertise and commitment to quality make them a natural partner in helping us bring 1888 Heritage to life.

When the time comes for our cattle to become your provision, they are entrusted to Das Schlacht Haus, a trusted custom meat processor our family has relied on for years. From the pasture - to the finishing pen - to your table; every step is thoughtfully chosen to uphold the standard we’ve set for 1888 Heritage.

“1888 Heritage is more than a finishing program. It is our heritage put into practice—honoring what came before us, stewarding what we’ve been given, and raising something worthy of the generations ahead.”
